Stay the course, and stay with Bush
Politicization of the national security of the United States must end.

In their partisan quest to seize political power, Sens. Robert Byrd, Jay Rockefeller and John Kerry and their cohorts seem willing to sacrifice this nation's security and sovereignty. Their constant criticisms and misleading accusations are encouraging the terrorists and undermining our brave soldiers overseas.

Not so long ago such partisan calls for abandoning our troops' mission would have been recognized for treason.

What costs are these politicians willing to extract from Americans to regain the power taken from them at the ballot box?

President Bush should stay the course, and we should stay with President Bush.

There is a clear choice.

Kerry has made it clear that he wishes to hand over our decision-making and our troops to foreign governments. In the past, the weakness of such leaders dismantled the CIA and its intelligence-gathering capabilities, which resulted in the crisis we now face.

They weakened the military, making it more dangerous for those who serve. They attempt to negate the Second Amendment, rendering us unable to defend ourselves.

Byrd, Rockefeller and Kerry spread doubt and fear and assist those who repress others and wish to harm us.

Bush has helped stabilize an economy that was in upheaval due to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Under Bush's leadership, we have not suffered another terrorist attack. The people of Afghanistan and Iraq now have freedoms they once could have experienced only in a dream.

We must never allow Byrd, Rockefeller, Kerry or like-minded politicians to give away what American veterans have shed much blood to preserve -- our safety, our sovereignty, our freedoms, liberties and the dream of sharing the hope of democracy.
