My first day in the House of Delegates we made a change I had campaigned for — recording roll call votes. Prior to that there was no record of how your delegates voted.
Many other accomplishments were made since that first day: tort and tax reform to make us more economically competitive and paying down state debts to make West Virginia financially stronger.
When elected to the state Senate I will once again pledge to uphold the U.S. Constitution; it has new meaning during these troubling days.
We must assert West Virginia's 10th Amendment rights, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
I will defend our constitutional rights against Obama's federal power grab of nationalized health care, illegal immigration, business ownership, property rights and education.
"Obamacare" and President Obama's war on coal may decimate our state's economy. West Virginians can count on me to protect them from the Obama agenda and oppose new taxes that fund unnecessary spending. It is irresponsible to enslave our children in unsustainable government spending and debt.
As your senator I will continue to work to make West Virginia a place where our children can receive a good education and have the opportunities available to them to provide for their families and retire in a healthy and safe community.
Join me in creating a brighter, more prosperous West Virginia. I ask for your vote. Please vote
Cindy Frich for Senate.
