LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Liberals don't allow for others' opinions that don't conform

Why is it that whenever Cindy Frich submits her opinion she is attacked by a host of liberals? Joe Martinelli (DP-May 13) criticized her for no reason.

I guess Barbara Fleischauer was out of town so he had to respond. I read the report that he and Frich read and it is a normal government report. It says nothing and it says everything. It is not meant to be specific; it is meant to be generalized so it is easier to defend by saying the reader misunderstood.

There were enough readers like Frich to create a storm of protest directed toward [Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet] Napolitano. She met with veterans groups to let them know that they misunderstood.

The problem that liberals have is they have little credibility with veterans. Veterans are used to the mock praise liberals give them but few are fooled. I validate this by the antics of Sen. John Kerry and former Vice President Al Gore. Gore's fight to omit absentee military ballots in the 2000 presidential race is a good example.

It has been a liberal Democratic plot to attack anyone who has an opinion that opposes theirs, especially if the dissenter is a politician.

Frich is the only conservative voice in the county, so let her be heard. I wasn't upset by the report because I know of the disdain liberals have for veterans. I was surprised that Napolitano signed off on such a report without thinking what it insinuated. Maybe President Obama will move her to the Supreme Court where eight others can baby-sit her.
