Frich must be very powerful and influential, if she is being accused of investing Social Security in the risky stock market. She couldn't do that if she tried, because Social Security is c federal program and Frich served in the House of Delegates.
Frich tried to protect seniors' pensions. Frich introduced legislation to eliminate the state tax on Social Security and remove the tax on military benefits.
These attack ads helped defeat Frich two years ago. What has happened when other delegates served in her place? PEIA Medicare eligible retirees had a jolt when they were asked to pay more and receive less. West Virginia seemed unwilling to uphold the promise all seniors received years ago.
Frich wrote six or seven political columns revealing the Advantra Freedom scandalous situation affecting West Virginia seniors. What did her opposition do? They voted to give themselves 33.3 percent pay raises.
Once again, Frich is being attacked about minimum wage. The bill in question increased state minimum wage above federal minimum wage. This was a smoke and mirrors attempt by delegates to pretend like they were working for the working man. Not true!
The state Division of Labor cannot account for any worker in the state who received a state minimum wage increase. The bill did not cover college students, seniors, or any employee working for a company with more than seven employees.
The state minimum wage bill did not cover anyone working for a company that participates ir interstate commerce. Therefore, if your employer used a credit card to make sales or purchases, you do not receive a state minimum wage increase. If your employer buys or sells across state borders, you are not entitled to the state minimum.
Is there any wonder that no one received a state minimum wage increase? Would you vote for such a deceptive piece of legislation? Would you brag about voting for such a scam?
Frich is the real deal. She voted against a real bill that does impact workers. She was the onl legislator to vote against Senate Bill 673 which allowed the county commissioners to ask you tc pay a local wage tax to build state roads.
Vote for Frich, because she tries to keep you informed about issues that really impact your life and avoids playing games with your concerns.
