ELECTION 2008

Frich earned her pay by looking out for us

Remember how the casino gambling industry attacked Cindy Frich in the 2006 election? The gambling industry called itself "West Virginians for a Brighter Tomorrow" and slammed Frich in order to elect their favorites.

They accused Frich of not understanding working people because she earned $15,000 a year as a delegate. But, Frich was the only legislator in our area who understood working people.

Frich voted against taxing Monongalia County workers' wages to build state roads. Delegates Bob Beach and Charlene Marshall, both D-Monongalia, voted to tax workers' wages. Delegate Barbara Fleischauer was out of office at the time and not earning an income, according to her financial disclosure to the West Virginia Ethics Commission. Now that Fleischauer, Beach, Marshall and Delegate Alex Shook have voted to give themselves pay raises, do you think they understand working people more? Frich tried to earn her pay by looking out for us.
