More push polling against GOP reported

Fleischauer, Lees use same firm; Manchin a client, too

More reports have surfaced of possible push-pulling against Republicans, and questions have been raised about the same company used by State Senate candidate Jim Lees in his controversial poll against Mike Hall.

The Morgantown Dominion Post reported Thursday that GOP Delegate Cindy Frich is the latest victim of push-polling, which is an effort to cast negative messages about a candidate in the guise of a poll. Push polling is illegal in West Virginia.

According to the Dominion Post, Delegate Barbara Fleischauer, a Democrat opponent of Frich's in the race, uses the polling company Global Strategies - the same company used by Lees, and which also lists Manchin as a client.

Fleischauer denied being behind any push polling, just as Lees did.
